HOTEL LE ROYAL MONTPARNASSE

For the money that was paid for the room and all the reviews talking about the sizes of rooms in Paris this hotel was excellent. The staff were extrememly helpful, and having forgotten the time difference on arrival if it hadn't been for the staff our first night might have been spoilt. The room was perfectly adequate for two over a short break and the area is great. There are many terrific places to grab a coffee, beer, lunch in the area and the walk into St.Germain area really isn't far. We loved it and would certainly recommend it. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyeable.

this hotel is fine if you want a spotless, silent hotel with a good sized lobby in which you can wait to meet up with your business clients. On a family leisure break we found it lacking in charm and dull. The staff were courteous but reserved and added nothing to our stay. We paid 190 euros per night for a junior suite and had at least expected our children would each have a proper bed but one had to sleep on a glorified camp bed. The room was rather cramped and dark. There was no room service and it would therefore be good to have a kettle and tea/coffee etc.
The breakfast was 12 euros each and no discount for children . Having glanced in at the deathly quiet breakfast room we decided to give it a miss and had a lovely breakfast at a nearby cafe. Good position (though not on a very lively stretch of road itself) but no parking and had to pay 24 euros a day for underground carpark. So, not for us as we want a bit of character in a hotel, better value and more noise!

We were pleasently surprised by a relativel large room and tasteful design. Very good location just few steps from the subway. We did not have breakfests in the hotel since there are many brasseries in the area. The price (€ 180) might be relative high but than again the hotel is certainly better than average 3 stars.

Friendly staff, helpful and spoke good English. The room was very very small, not unusual for Paris, but was very clean and comfortable. Perhaps not the best room 'large framed' customers. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro
