Lovely hotel. Fantastic bed and pillows. Would definetely stay here again

staff were very friendly, breakfast was included and was a wide range of breakfast foods to choose from.room was large size and very clean.

As soon as we arrived, receptionist demanded payment even though we had to pay in advance to secure the booking. Her attitude was somewhat aggressive, and 'always right'. We had to persuade her to phone and check the booking with Late Rooms which she then blamed profusely for not 'sending authorisation'. No we didn't bring paperwork with us, but she had a prepared reservation card for us, and we'd already paid, so didn't think we needed it. No apology was offered for her attitude. Similar thing happened to our friends checking in, where receptionist said ' No you can't pay online, so payment must be due' with us standing there, who plainly had paid online.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, everything worked except the hairdryer. Wireless access is £4 for 1 hour, but the telephone/modem charges were reasonable and OK for a quick dialup e-mail check. The only serious complaint about the room was the bathroom fan, which was excessively noisy and had a ridiculously long timeout. Food, though: the place has confused quantity with quality, the portions were obscenely large but indifferently prepared. Do not eat here if you are worried about obesity; prefer the Casa, just down the road.
