Directions to Hotel Plas Dinorwic
We are conveniently located near the main East/West Dual Carriageway (The A55) which connects to all major motorways. We are right on the banks of the Menai Straits overlooking Anglesey at what was named “Port Dinorwic” until the local council renamed it in Welsh to be ‘Y Felinheli’. If coming from the north, take the exit from the A55 dual carriageway signed for Caernarfon. Coming down the slip road brings you to a large roundabout at which you take the second exit signed for ‘Y Felinheli’. If coming down the slip road brings you to a mini-roundabout at which you take the second exit signed for ‘Y Felinheli’ & ‘Marina’. Following this road into the village brings you towards a pub called ‘Ty Ffordd Hanner’ (The Half-Way House). Immediately in front of this pub is the turn off down to the bridge. Up the hill and onto the property of Plas Dinorwic which is your first turning left. If coming from the south, come through Caernarfon towards Bangor. Following this main road brings you to a large roundabout, just before the Felinheli by-pass. Taking your second exit from this roundabout brings you into the village of Y Felinheli. Drive through the village until you see “The Half Way House” on your right and follow directions as above. Parking is available in our private lot. We are located excatlt halfway between Bangor & Caernarfon, equidistant from The Isle of Anglesey and a few minutes by car from The Snowdonia National Park. We call ourselves "The Waters Edge of Snowdonia!" Come and enjoy...

Great location situated by the Marina with superb views looking down the Menai Straights. Had no restuarant open when i stayed though, although there are local amentities within walking distance. My room was recently modernised so no negatives to report except no broadband facility (why do so many British Hotels miss out on this essential feature?). I would say great for the holiday tourer, but not so good for the business traveller. |

I found the staff very friendly but my room was very noisy and a bit dated. It was very clean but no blanket available. I was also emailed the day after I stayed to say that they had no record of me staying at the hotel. I found that a bit worrying especially if there was a fire! |

Had a wonderful stay. Location amazing and lovely friendly welcome from the owners. Stayed in great apartment which was very comfortable, airy and with breath taking views over the estuary. Had dinner in nearby bistro which was within walking distance and had a lovely atmosphere. Did quite make the pool but it looked great. Lovely breakfast, plenty of everything with pleasant service. Would recommend and will definitely be back . |
