Just had a 1 night stay at The Maypole Inn & will certainly return. The staff & clientelle were very friendly & attentive, the service excellent & nothing was too much trouble. The food was by far the best we have had in a B&B & the breakfast was excellent. The room was nicely furnished & very comfortable. A great place to stay for the price. They also have a good selection of real ales at reasonable prices. |

We recently spent two nights at the Maypole Inn and loved it. Our group was a bit diverse: 2 adults, 3 small children, and two seniors, one of whom needed oxygen. The staff at the Maypole couldn't have been more accommodating. The rooms were large, cheery and clean, and the pub/restaurant area was warm, quaint and friendly. The food was amazing. Even though we spent our days out sight-seeing, we returned to the Inn in the evenings to dine because the food was so exceptional. Surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, it was everything one would expect in a quintessentially British holiday. Our stay at the Maypole was definitely the highlight of our two week stay in England. We will definitely return some day! |

Excellent all round, only slight criticism was that the bedroom, on corner of hotel, was next to the noisy and very busy A65 road so couldn't hear TV that well! |

The staff were very pleasant but service in the dining room at the weekend was slow & the food was not of a great qualitytThe bathroom was not very clean and I think things were not of a good enough standard for us to return there or recommend it to friends. |
