We provide the highest standards of guest accommodation with many of the features to be found in good quality hotels. We have been awarded the AA’s 4 Star “Highly Commended” star rating, which is only awarded to the top 10% of the AA’s graded properties. We are also recommended by The Michelin Guide.
Moortown Lodge, originally a Georgian Hunting Lodge retains many of the features of that era. Now, fully modernised, it is a charming family run Guest House offering guests friendly hospitality and luxury grade B&B accommodation. We have seven elegant individually designer furnished en-suite rooms supplied with generous Hospitality trays and many thoughtful personal touches.
Our rooms include a romantic four-poster and two easy access ground floor rooms. All rooms are equipped to hotel standards with Digital TV and DVD, free broadband connections and free local and national direct dial phones.
Delicious traditional breakfasts are cooked to order; wherever possible we use fresh New Forest produce with lighter and vegetarian breakfast options by request. We are members of the New Forest Green Leaf Tourism initiative and promote “environmentally friendly” policies.
Ideally located ½ mile south of the A31 and the historic market town of Ringwood with its charming character and its wide range of shopping, pubs and restaurants. The peace and tranquillity of the open forest as well as the unspoilt water meadows of the River Avon are only minutes away.
Moortown Lodge is a perfect stopover for business people as well as an excellent base for touring and leisure visitors. There are special arrangements for guests wishing to use the bar, restaurant and the outstanding recreational facilities located at the adjacent private David Lloyds Leisure Club. This was in just the right place for us as we were visiting family. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The club next door, where bar and meals were available, was fine.
We will try to book up here next time we are in the area

Breakfast - excellent choice and very well cooked. Kettle and good selection of tea, coffees, chocolate in room, plus bottled water and biscuits. Nice that we had an upgraded room.
Would have liked to had some sort of electric fan or air conditioning in the bedroom. Parking difficult when hotel full. Pity no garden or patio for relaxing on warm evenings.

Very easy to find and welcoming reception from one of the owners. Room was good but a bit cramped for 2 adults and 2 kids. Breakfast was very nice and there were clean plates all round. Didn't get a chnace to go next door to the gym but it did look really busy with regular members - appears that the other gym nearby has closed and evryone now goes there.
