As a young business traveller, I was overall very pleased with this hotel. It was true Tudor Style Manor House, I stayed in room 3 which was fantastic, a nice large Bathroom, Large Double Bed and Sitting Area. Everything was Immaculate and Clean. Porters were ready to take my bags as soon as I arrived. I arranged a table at the restaurant but changed my mind as I later found out that you were not alllowed to use laptops or cell phones in the area. I had room service which was about 45 minutes, but the chips looked like they had been fried several times - very greasy. Which dissapointed me. I would probably use the Harvester across the road next time if I decide to Stay again. The Breakfast was overpriced at £14.95 for what was a small fry up. Service overall was good. I will be back, I'm sure but I will eat out and take my Weetabix with me!

A superb hotel only spoilt by the fact that there was a wedding party there. This was fine, but my room overlooked a garden courtyard which guests used as an overspill area and was therefore quite noisy. It was not helped when the wedding degenerated into a fight scenario and the event had to be closed down (at around 10.30pm). I did not quite expect to be trying to sleep through a brawl during the night at a 4 star hotel! Should I complain or seek recompense?

A late booking and therefore a very competetive deal. The rooms around the courtyard have a real character to them, and are beautifully presented in a traditional style. Access to the motorway couldn't be easier too.

Really lovely hotel - it was just a shame I was only there for one night and arrived so late I had no time to taste the food.
