ATAHOTEL EXECUTIVE

Hotel faces a building site.This is offset by its proximity to metro station. Decor in hotel corridors and particularly in bedroom is dated. I found bed and pillows were very hard/stiff. Buffet breakfast were very good on both days. Staff level of English was impressive and they were polite and helpful. Some good restaurants within walking distance on Corso Como.I was there during school term time so little evidence of families. It seemed that most guests were corporate.Has tris an infllationary effect on price ?

We did not find the hotel easy to get to. We were led to believe we could walk to it from the railway station. I had printed off the map giving directions but after 40 minutes of walking we gave up and took a taxi. We arrived in Milan by train at about 21.15 so it was dark and very few people about to ask for help. Those we did ask had not heard of Atahotel. I don't know if the hotel could give out clearer directions or perhaps suggest how to get there by metro?
We had not had an evening meal when we arrived, around 22.30 so asked for room service. This closed at 23.00 so only just managed to order in time. We were surprised that such a large establishment did not offer all night room service.
It would also be nice if the hotel understood how the English like tea! We often like lots of it, which means big jugs of boiling water and several tea bags, maybe including Earl Grey and English Breakfast. Perhaps best would be to provide a kettle, cups and teabags so guests can make their own tea in their room?
Apart from these small problems we enjoyed our stay and found the staff pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent.

A good quality hotel with a Metro and station entrance right outside. We had a room right on the street and there was no noise in the room.
The hotel is just around the corner from Via Garribaldi one of the livliest streets for late night bars for the party going youngsters.
As with all Milan hotels, as far as I can tell, the ATA is overpriced IMO in comparison with good hotels in other major European cities.

oldish hotel, though room quality pretty good.
it's just any 4 star hotel in town.
breakfast was good, though.
few newspapers available (the hotel was quite full), and at 7.30 they were almost all gone.
