Nice enough hotel with a good pub/restaurant adjoining serving a good range of good quality 'pub food'. However, there was a wedding taking place at the hotel and the night time entertainment was taking place below the room we were in. The noise was DEAFENING, sleep was impossible. NO sound insulation! To the hotel's credit they moved us to another part of the hotel when we rang down to complain, but obviously the disruption was a real problem. So if I was to go there again it would only be if they have no functions on or guarantee a room on the car park side. Be aware of this! |

bathroom was not clean with mould on the wall tiling around the bath and a broken panel to the bath. |

The reception and bar staff were very good, as was the room. But the evening meal was very poor - overcooked chicken with a dried out sauce that somehow managed to smell of fish. I would recommend staying at the hotel but not eating there, but unfortunately there did not appear to be anywhere else to eat within walking distance. |
