WALKING DIRECTIONSFrom Limehouse DLR station we are 5 minutes walk, come out of the station, turn right towards the Commercial Road, turn left on Commercial Road towards the traffic lights, left again til the end of the road, (Butchers Row) cross the street then turn right onto the Highway.

From Express by Holiday Inn London-Limehouse to Limehouse DLR station:Turn left out of the hotel, turn left at the traffic lights, cross the street at the end of Butchers Row, turn right and DLR is on the right hand side.

BY CARBy car from the M25 North leave the motorway at Junction 27, follow signs for London (NE) onto the M11.At the end of the M11 join the A406 North Circular

(Docklands). Follow A406 to the end where you will come to a large roundabout for the A13, Take the exit for A13 Central London, go under the under passes on the A13 and continue on A13, go over Canning Town flyer and stay in the left hand lane, follow signs to Tower Bridge and Wapping, take 4th exit off of the roundabout and stay in the right hand lane, go through the Limehouse link Tunnel, on approach to the exit there are traffic lights, go over the lights and we are on the right hand side of the Highway.

BAsic value for money accommodation as you would expect at this price level. Hotel has a basic bar, lounge and 24hr reception. Room was clean and no frills. Shower but no bath. Location is between City and Tower hill, 600yd walk to neartest tube and DLR station so not best part of London but fine for business if price is right. Wireless internet was chargeable extra but self-service continental breakfast is complimentary for all guests and is a healthy option. At <=£85 I would rate this as good value hotel.

The hotel was only 15 minutes from the City (via a short walk to Limehouse station), so it made my commuting very easy. Value for money seemed very good for such a central location, and there was a very good Indian restaurant within 10 minutes' walk. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and staff were friendly and helpful.

Yet again I booked a Holiday Inn Express only to find when I arrived that I had been allocated a smoking room, which took some time and some persuasion to change to a non smoking! This has happened often and I would not stay in HIE again if I could help it. It is a strange hotel and far away from anything. Not at all comfortable.

Overall very satisfied with our stay. A very minor critisicsm - why do they not provide sufficient milk to equal the number of tea and coffee sachets provided?

Disappointed to have booked the hotel, only to find a promotional voucher (offering the room at a much cheaper rate) in the paper i was reading, as i checked in!
