Directions to Trinity Capital Hotel
there are a number of car hire companies located in the airport, although it is advisable to arrange your car hire needs prior to your arrival. If driving from the Airport, follow signs to "City Centre". Arriving into the city follow the signs for "O Connell Street" passing through Drumcondra onto Dorset Street. Turn left onto Upper Gardiner Street, continue down Lower Gardiner Street, through Store Street and crossing straight through the Talbot Memorial Bridge onto Moss Street, through the next set of traffic lights into Shaw Street and turning right onto Pearse Street, the hotel is located 20 meters up from here on the right hand side. Public transport - There are two excellent bus services, which offer regular and inexpensive transport to the city centre. "Air coach" where your stop off is "Trinity College", at the main entrance. When you get off the bus just follow the railings of Trinity college back around onto Pearse Street. Less than a five minute walk and we are located on the left. Another option is "Dublin Bus" which will bring you to the Central Bus station, "Busaras". From here cross the bridge over the Liffey, continue to the end of Moss Street and turning right we are located a further 50 metres on the right. The average cost on bus transport is ?5 per person.Taxi service - Outside of the arrivals hall there is a taxi rank. Standard taxis carry 4 persons, but you can request a seven seater. All taxis are metered, expect to pay approx ?25 to get to us.

This is one of the most fantastic hotels I have ever stayed in! The bright purple and gold decoration in the lobby is just fantastic as are the three huge brilliantly coloured armchairs which greeted us upon entering the hotel. The service was good and our room was beautiful. We specifically asked for a room in a quiet area and were placed in the courtyard section, which was very quiet indeed. The room itself was as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. Very clean with lovely bathroom. It is unlike any hotel I have ever visited before. The tongue in cheek decor manages to stay clear of becoming tacky. We were forever finding new and wacky aspects of the hotel which kept our stay very interesting. In fact, of the two out of three nights we stayed, we used the hotel bar rather than any others in the city since it was so beautiful and comfortable. We ate one meal at the hotel, which was lovely, if expensive (although that is par for the course in Dublin) and had very pleasant and attentive service. The location is perfect - very close to everything and just a couple of minutes walk from where the AirCoach drops you off. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others - it is an experience not to be missed! |

Nice & original hotel. Very close to Dublin city centre & right over the road from Trinity College. Ideal location for seeing the sites. Staff were very friendly. They looked after our baggage after we checked out as our flight wasn't until the evening. Restaurant seemed nice, but we didn't eat there. Room came equipped with jacuzzi, mini safe & iron. Room was quiet and we slept well. We would definately stay again, highly recommended. |

It was our first visit to Dublin and the Trinity Capital Hotel was very impressive. It gave us the impression of a Morroccan theme, everything was very grand but tastefully decorated. We were very impressed. Our room was exactly how it looks in the picture and we were overlooking the courtyard which has a very nice view. The towels were changed every day and the room was equipped with iron/ironing board and hairdryer. We had flat screen tv and have option to rent the latest films. Tea/coffee making facilities were topped up every day. We didn't eat at the hotel but we did have drinks in the bar and sat outside in the courtyard. Most of the staff were friendly. We were less than a five minute walk to River Liffey and all the main shops, and 5 minutes in the other direction to Temple Bar, Trinity College, Stephens Green and MORE shops etc. There are so many shops, bars and cafes and the buskers and street entertainment were fun to watch. The only minus to the break was that we found it to be rather expensive to eat and drink out. It is best to shop around for the best deals or "teatime specials". The weather was great which made a big difference as we could sit outside cafes and people watch and we went to Stephens Green were everybody were sitting on the lawns and soaking up the sun. Trinity College is a must see. There is plenty to see and do and next time we hope to stay longer. I would recommend a visit to Dublin and Trinity Capital Hotel and we look forward to our return. |
