The George Hotel and Montys

The breakfast was average.Our room was far too warm with only a small fan. We were kept awake by kitchen workers talking loudly under our window after midnight.Hotel looked very nice and was very clean and in a good position but we had dreadful nights sleep and left disappointed.

Lovely hotel in a great location, food was excellent, breakfast was included and instead of the usual full english you had a choice of Smoked salmon and kippers etc which was really good as you normally have to pay extra for this. Room was comfortable with plenty of room to move around, decor was good, nice furnishings and bathroom was a good size. Would definitely stay here again. Recommend the italian around the corner for a meal, doesn't look much from the outside but the food was fabulous.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I only had breakfast in Monty's but the food was very good quality and the scrambled eggs were excellent, very soft and fluffy.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to single female travellers - you felt very safe.

probably the best room we have stayed in (junior suite) in the uk, wonderful fresh breakfast. very nice atmophere and helpful staff.

Monty's has a great cocktail bar downstairs which had live music and a great atmosphere. The resturant is one of the few in Cheltenham that do not fall into the 'chain' category and offers a really varid menu that is of the highest quality. The breakfast's were huge and filled us up for the day ahead. We had a superior room which seemed quite small still so would recommend to at least book this type of room - lovely decor and very clean.
