Directions to Royal County Hotel
By Car: - Leave the M4 at junction 11 - Take the A33 towards Reading town centre. - Follow directions to the Oracle Shopping Centre and Queen's Road car park (on the A329 to Maidenhead). - Once you are in Queen's Road drive as if you are going into the Oracle car park, but pass it on your left. - You will then see Queen's Road car park after Brannigans. (Grosvenor Casino is now more visible specially at night.) - Follow the road and stay in the left lane. - At the 2nd set of lights, you will have to turn left into Watlington Street; there will be a church on you right-hand side. (Stay in the left lane.) - At the next set of traffic lights, immediately after the bridge, turn left into Kings Road. (You should see Kwik-Fit garage on your left.) - After 200 to 300 yards there will be another set of traffic lights (Jackson's Corner will be on you right-hand side) at which to turn left into Duke Street. - The hotel is immediately at the beginning of Duke Street on your right with the turning into the car park just beyond. Since Reading is mainly a one way system, we strongly recommend paying special attention to signs and directions in the town, and if you have any trouble, please do not hesitate to give us a call.

The service at reception was friendly if a little slow. The breakfast could have been served a little quicker but the man doing the serving was very industrious and did his best to hurry things along. The quality of the food was good and the restaurant was very clean and fresh smelling. |
