My room was lovely but the rest of the hotel looked like it needed a re-furb to reflect the fabulous room I was in. Breakfast was a bit of a surprise for the staff so it seemed, but it did arrive. |

i was disappointed with the room. the windows had been left open to air the room, resulting on a large number of flies in the room, there was mould on the windows and cobwebs on the coving . After speaking to colleages that also stayed in the hotel it was very clear that there was a newer more modern part of the hotel which they had stayed. |

This hotel specializes in large functions and we had a very disturbed nights stay as a result. |

Over-reliant on waiter service at breakfast - tends to slow things down. Pleasant and willing breakfast staff once they are in the dining room. Restaurant food is classic, minimalist, over-priced, out-dated nouvelle cuisine - don't eat there if hungry or if you want value for money. Waiters tend to work in twos and are drilled in a fussy and prissy choreography which is over-elaborate and a trifle absurd. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-designed - the best part of the stay. It is a good hotel - it just takes itself far too seriously. |
