This hotel remains wonderfully situated for the Glens. It is the place to stay if you want to wander between Ballycastle and Carnlough. We stayed an extra night for locational advantage.
The beds need upgrading for modern tourists - US consumers spending devaluing dollars will expect more for their diminishing bucks.
Dinner is fairly good - aside from Sunday evenings in winter (when presumably the chef has a day off). But please, more green vegetables, and not always two different versions of potato. The wine choices need upgrading, as does the coffee. The bar was being re-built as we left.
The way to judge a menu in Northern Ireland is whether Chicken Maryland is on the list of offerings: if it is, seek another location for dinner.
    The staff are friendly.
The Arms will face difficulty if anyone learns properly to manage the hotel at the Giants Causeway: some defensive investment is in order.

The variety of food on the menu in the bar was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and the car parking arrangements were excellent. We live in Millisle so staying at Carnlough may not seem like a very distant break away from home, but the staff surely made us feel welcome and relaxed. We will most definaltley be back - it's such a quaint village and so convenient for the glens - how could we not stay in the Londonderry Arms Hotel again!
