The hotel was really good. The staff were really helpful, especially a young man called Ben he was most obliging to our needs, please thank him on our behalf. The room that we had was badly lit,

This hotel is easy to find and also suitably placed to get into the centre of York within 10 minutes at a dawdle. I found the staff very friendly, especially a night porter named Ben, who truely proved himself to be an asset. The staff went above and beyond the required level of service even going so far as to find out information on activities and things to do in York by searching for them themselves.
The hotel is in the process of being redecorated and from the evidence of the quiet, never disturbing, renovations the place will look immaculate subsequently.
All in all i would heartily recommend this to anyone i know and will most likely be staying there again on my next trip to York.

hotle was lovely the room large and the bathroom great but it was way too hot felt like sleeping in a sauna and it was not very warm outside.
