We booked a late room for an event and literally wanted a bed for the night for not much money! Paid 34.99 for a basic room (the ones for walkers/cyclists). The room was a little old fashioned as we expected but warm, comfortable and clean with comfortable beds. There was no noise. The staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Our room was one of the ones not yet refurbished so I don't know what the better rooms are like but we were very satisfied with what we got for our money. Can't comment on the food as we had to leave really early and didn't stop to eat. |

The room was very basic but very clean. We stayed in a budget room and found the hotel was great value for money. |

The room was clean but is poorly constructed (budget room) and in desperate need of upgrading, however the staff were very pleasant and I would be happy to stay there again. Hope the guy who paced the floor upstairs all night, doesn't! |

This was purely a stopover on our way up to Scotland from Birmingham, so we booked the cheapest room possible. |
