Devoncove Hotel

The Devoncove is an excellent value hotel in a great location - just beware the puzzling one way system if you are driving! Our room was very clean with a nice bath and a comfortable bed. I would recommend this hotel to a friend

Good quality hotel with well sized rooms, breakfast in the morning was excellent

I found my room cold and damp and unclean, the heating did not work, althought they did provide me with a small heater. And due to the refurbishment of the restaurant i had to make alternitive arrangements for my evening meals.

One of the lights would not switch off in the bathroom.
One of the drawers would not stay closed.
The breakfast staff were very unwelcoming, and did not understand the concept of eggs on toast . I feel that they should have had more training.
The reception area was unwelcoming and clinical. The only friendly member of staff was one who had only just started work there (ie in the last 10 minutes).

i read reviews before booking and its very difficult to get right as you dont know the reviewer.i was looking for inexpensive weekend in a small hotel to meet up with family who also stayed.(3 nights). the hotel was clean and would meet the needs of anyone wanting flying visit to glasgow with a place to put their head down.the staff were very helpful when we needed them and pleasent when we didnt.the only let down for the money was the breakfasts.we are both vegeterian and it was egg and beans with a slice of tomato,the meat alternative had a sausage.i suppose for the money you cant expect the works but that said,it was disapointing. we would book again with no problem, but would probably lie in and get lunch elsewhere.
