The location of this hotel is excellent! Very near York Minster and all other attractions. The best thing about the hotel is the easily accessible parking, which is for free! This is hard to find in York, and they were brilliant letting us keep the car there on our last day, even though we had checked out! The breakfast however was quite disappointing, and the room we were in did need some updating. Other than that I would return due to location, and car park. |

Cant believe this hotel had 3 stars, it was like something on a par with Fawlty Towers. When we booked in we wernt told that the room key was also the late door key so we had to pound the door down until another guest let us and two other couples in. Im sure there was better rooms but the bathroom in ours (room 5) was straight from the seventies , cramped, cracked tiles and no bath. My companion works in hotels and was disgusted at the lack of attention to detail in the standard of cleaning. On our second night we even found onethe cleaners false nails in our bed. Not a complaining type we just wont go there again, there are plenty more hotels to choose from |

the only complaint we have is that the laterooms.com said we got full english breakfast when in fact we had to pay for full english breakfast, this needs to be amended so people know before they get there not when they read the sign on the bedroom door. |
