I did not eat at the hotel. I arrived in the bar, and waited 10 minutes to be served a drink, even though there were only two other people present.
I enquired about breakfast, and was told it started at 0730 hours. I came downstairs at 0730, but everything was in darkness. I eventually let myself out of the hotel at 0800 hours (work commitments), without breakfast. I left a business card on the reception desk, with instructions for my invoice to be sent to me. However, I then found that the credit card used to secure the booking had been debited for bed AND BREAKFAST!!!!! - Not happy!

Nice Hotel, Walking distance to the park and church which was nice after the evening meal. My Room was clean and tidy however there was a big stain on the ceiling. Archie and Penny where the resident dogs, which were very friendly - I dont mind animals however if you are unsure about having dogs/cats around it maybe a bit off putting.

Friendly staff - great atmosphere (and it wasn't even busy). Would be great at weekends I guess. Room very comfortable. Would go back in a second!

A very pleasant place to stay. Surprisingly up to date and well appointed. The only issue we had was with 'mine host' who was somewhat surly and lacking in bon homie - shades of John Cleese. Our food was plonked in front of us and there was no attempt to make conversation or to be pleasant to us. Perhaps he was miffed that we were paying quite a bit less than the normal price as we had booked at the last minute through your site. Otherwise a good place to stay.
