We have just returned from a 5 day break in York staying at the Bowen Guest House. We both liked the location , only 5 minutes to the minster. The room we were allocated on arrival was very small but nice and very clean. On our 3rd morning we were asked if we would like to move across the hall to a bigger room which we did and this was a much more spacious. The full English breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again and strongly recommend this guest house to others. |

our room was very clean andwell presented but incredibly tiny, we had to duck to avoid the sloping ceiling getting in and out of bed and we were very cramped for space. nice decor and lovely breakfast though! |

Very friendly, nice room and good position near river and close to York Minster. My only negative points are that although parking is available it is very tight. Also, this venue is not very good for people requiring an early breakfast. |
