Disappointing stay. Well short of advertised claims. Overpriced "superior" quailty room comfortable but very cramped. It did have a view - not of Ullswater or the Mountains - but of the car park. Dinner excellent but breakfast a disaster. Many of the offered breakfast menu items not available - no hash browns, no beans, no tomatoes, no veggie sausages etc - a complaint and a 45 minute wait produced a result when the manager made a dash to the local shop to get the missing items. When breakfast eventually arrived it was good. All staff friendly and polite but the management of the place seems shambolic. |
