Friendly hotel with a good atmosphere in the bar in the evening and excellent food. The room was pleasant but one let-down: in these eco-aware days I'm not looking for a power shower but standing under a weedy dribble every morning didn't get the day off to a great start. |

My main disappointment was regarding the the room. I had booked a double four poster bedroom. Upon arriving at the room, we found the four poster, which was literally the bed with a four poster frame - i.e. not dressed as a four poster bed should be. Upon enquiring as to the reason for the lack of "dressing", we were told that some clients find the dressing of a four poster "inhibiting" ! Therefore, the dressing had been removed! Had the price of the room reflected this, I think probably not. That said, the rest of our stay was pleasant. |
