nice rooms, friendly staff, only problem seemed to be the shower, seemed to be very low water pressure in the area which made the shower almost impossible to use |

Despite booking a superior room it was very small. The bed was against the wall on one side with about a foot space on the other side between the bed and the wall. They charged us for car parking even though there was plenty of space at the back and it was an unsecured car park. |

Had we not got this room at a reduced price we would not have been at all happy. The room we had was very small, and cramped, the ceiling low, electric wiring suspect and a tissue had been left stuffed through the keyhole of the door which formed part of the outside wall. There was only one bedside table which was inconvenient. Not the standard of Best Western that we have experienced elsewhere. We understand that Best Wesern had only recently taken over the running of the hotel which might explain these things. However, although we did not eat in the restaurant we did have to walk though it and past the kitchens to get to our room. The restaurant was well furnished and bright and has a good rating. Hopefully things will improve. |

Great restaurant but apart from that, not good. My room was on the ground floor and entailed walking through the restaurant and down a very tatty service corridor lined with boxes, rubbish, vacuum cleaners etc, not a good start. The room itself was clean but dated, basic and tatty. Don't be fooled by the Best Western name - this one was not up to standard. |
