We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The hotel itself is in a small village surounded by wonderful countryside. We took a lovely walk to lower slaughter across the fields to work up an appetite before dinner. The vegetarian choice was very limited but we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The souffle was amazing. Our room had a view of the garden and was very comfortable but we felt it could do with a lick of paint in places, as parts were looking tired. Fairly good value for money because the service and food were so good. |

The hotel is a great place to stay for a little treat or a special occasion. We stayed just prior to Christmas and the hotel was relaxed and informal and decked out amazingly. The check in staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The only part which we remarked on was the formality of the breakfast service which for a relaxed weekend felt a bit ovedone but not at all a reason to reconsider a stay. Enjoy it. |
