With the adjacent landscaped gardens, St. Michaels makes an ideal venue for any special occasion.The Inn is 200 years old and was formerly a coaching inn. We are constantly upgrading our rooms and adding extra facilities.The spacious self - contained function suite can accommodate up to 150 guests for a sit - down meal, and with the adjacent landscaped gardens the inn is the perfect venue for special occasions.Our small restaurant and cosy lounge bar offer a relaxing and enjoyable time, with high quality food and drink.Close by is St. Andrews, a university town with its combination of Medieval, Victorian and Edwardian streets making it one of the most attractive towns in Scotland.

FROM THE SOUTHFollow signs to Cupar, continue on the A91 through Dairsie taking the left exit at the next roundabout (A91). Pass through Balmullo and continue for 1.5 miles and you arrive at the Inn.FROM THE NORTHFollow signs to Dundee, cross over the Tay Road Bridgeand continue on the A92 towards StAndrews and bear left at the first roundabout on to the A914, continue for 3.5 miles and the Inn will be on your left.

This is an old inn which has been modernised some time ago. The rooms are small (but not expensive) and on the edge of becoming tatty. For example, a broken toilet-roll holder and fraying carpets. The service is friendly but somewhat amateur. The breakfast is v good, but the rest of the menu in my opinion tends towards fast food. The whole operation lacks professionalism which is not entirely compensated by the friendliness.
It needs a face-lift.

Fairly old pub/hotel. For the business traveller pretty much covers the basics - clean, quick service at breakfast, reasonable price, easy access and car parking. Above average quality of food, good value. If you are not used to road noise the roadside location may be a minus for light sleepers. Also in daytime it is very close to the local RAF base so the planes can be pretty noisy, but they finish flying by about 8pm anyway.
