The hostess was absolutely fantastic. Stayed here on my wedding night and she couldn't have been more accommodating. The food in the morning was brilliant and vegetarian friendly. The scotch shortbread is to die for, as is the home made bread. Lots of guide books in the room and dining area. Kath is also helpful with showing where places are on the map. Room was brilliant, we stayed in the room with the four poster bed and the bed was extremely comfortable. When we got home from the wedding the room had been cleaned (even hanging up our coats in the wardrobe!). My parents stayed in the twin room upstairs which was also lovely. The hotel is a 5.50/7 quid cab ride from the city or a nice 20 minute walk. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Very homely!

Lovely place to stay. Quite handy to travel into the centre of Edinburgh by bus, otherwise a 30 min walk. Very friendly owners and delicious homemade shortbread, scones and bread.
