Set in over eight acres of award winning private gardens and grounds Rowton Hall Hotel is just 1 mile from Chester City Centre. The Hall,originally build in 1779 stands on Rowton Moor the site of a major battle of the English Civil war between the Royalists and Parliamentarians. Established as a hotel in 1955 it still retains many of the features of the original Hall, including extensive oak panelling, a self supporting hand carved staircase, an original Inglenook fireplace and an elegant Robert Adam fireplace. Rowton Hall is renowned fot its warm informal Country House welcome

From the M56 take junction 15 on to the M53. Exit the M53 at junction 12 and take the 3rd exit, A56 to Chester. At the next roundabout turn left on to the A41 to Whitchurch. Follow straight throught to the second roundabout and turn left continuing along the A41. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile, the sign for Rowton Hall will be on your left and the hotel is situated at the end of the next lane on the right.

Lovely Hotel, Excellent Pool & SPA! Fine dining restaurant (don't do the set menu - nice but nowhere near as good as the a la carte). Friendly, inviting staff. Our only niggles were that we couldn't stay longer. Our little boy Harry (2) was welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed his stay too! I will definately stay at Rowton Hall again! Probably a much better place to escape to with your better half than to take the kids but it is only 4.5 miles from Chester Zoo!! They book your tickets for your and keep them ready for you in their safe! Furthermore you get to take advantage of their block booking discounts!! MAKE IT ONE TO TICK OFF YOUR LIST OF PLACES TO GO TO!!

Great room. Lovely location and leisure facilites were spot on. The restaurant was good although the service wa fairly slow. No matter though. All in all- well worth a visit!

This hotel is highly recommended. we got married here last Oct 07 and just returned for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. The standard is high, the rooms clean and beautifully decorated. The service is impeccable and food delicious. I am planning my next stay!
