Quiet and friendly hotel in the heart of the Fens surrounded by countryside, Wisbech is a busy little market town with the river running though the centre, walking to the town centre is 2 mins, Peckover House(NT)is 5 mins away. Kings Lynn and the coast is just 16 miles and a nice drive though beautiful old villages and country lanes.

i know it was a one off but when i arrived there was no heating or hot water, i was told that this was being sorted and if there was a problem in an hour i would be moved, after this time i went to reception and was moved into a small twin room (i had booked a double), the shower was useless, no pressure and still no hot water from the taps! after going out for dinner with customers i returned to my room to find it still freezing cold, the gentleman on reception said that i was welcome to take the bedding off the other bed!

Plenty of parking, hotel was old but fitments okay, did not fancy a shower, wash basin in bedroom. Food very good and reasonable

Excellent traditional hotel with excellent all round quality and service. Rooms clean and well appointed. Food very high standard.

I booked The White Lion at the very last moment, but was not dissapointed at all the room was basic but clean and tidy with plenty of tea coffe available. The service was very friendly and efficient, the evening meal was excellent. Unfortunatly I left too early for breakfast but have threatened to return to sample. An enjoyable stay
