Lovely warm welcome with lots of information about the area. A lack of a shower and hot water after 9am was its only downfall. |

I went to the Lakes to get away from it all for a few days. Thwaite Howe provided the perfect base for such a break. It's out of the way, but not too far away. The staff were helpful, welcoming and very friendly. The English breakfast perfectly cooked to your preference and ample portions. I feel I must make a special mention of the fertile gardens, constantly immersed in gentle birdsong. Wildlife is all around and welcomed. The Red Squirrels make occasional appearances, yet rarely linger for the camera. I intend to return and have already recommended Thwaite Howe to friends and colleagues. |
