The Manor is superb and normally at twice the price I paid through late rooms. I would recomend it anyway, so much better than the large chains, and the staff are freindly. |

We secured a considerable reduction on the advertised room rate so I was expecting a lot more than we eventually got. The hotel was in a convenient countryfied location and was of a generally good standard. The staff were unfriendly not very courteous and in need of training. The restaurant was a big disappointment, the menu was limited and food of poor quality. The pepper sauce for the pepper steak only arrived after several requests by which time the steak was nearly consumed, the accompanying salad did not arrive at all. The buffet breakfast whilst plentiful was dry and uncared for. |

We were not charged for our stay which was the only positive. The service was aweful. We were discouraged from eating in the restuarant at dinner and got the impression the staff couldn't be bothered. At breakfast we were given a plate of cold food with no choice as to what went on the plate. |

The hotI el was easy to find with sat nav. I was very dissappointed with this hotel. The room was freezing it did warm up when I turned on the radiator. The extractor fan and the radiator in the bathroom did not work, and was only provided with one towel, hard to dry with no radiator. The bath was dirty and had hairs in it. The room and bathroom were very dated. I stayed on Valentines night and the only food available was a set three course valentines dinner or the lunch menu. The soup was OK but was obviously out of a tin with a few bits of parsley on top. I had lasagne with garlic bread, the garlic bread was undercooked and soggy, the lasagne had so much grease and oil it was disgusting. There was no where to sit in the bar as there was only one sofa. The hotel had no atmosphere at all. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. I didn't bother to have breakfast there. I felt it was very expensive even at laterooms prices. |
