Set on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, The Ouse Bridge House is a family run Guest House offering a friendly welcome and lovely views. We provide a relaxed atmosphere, warm friendly service and value for money in a stunning and peaceful location. We have 11 bedrooms, 9 of which are en-suite and 2 have separate private bathroom facilities. We have one room situated on the ground floor. Some of the bedrooms offer lovely views over Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw. All the other bedrooms have views over either the garden or the meadows and countryside to the rear. All rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with Digital TV and DVD players, tea and coffee making facilities and Clock Radios. We also have ample private car parking, free WiFi and are licenced for guests. . A full English breakfast is served daily from 8.30 - 9.15am and evening meals are provided with advanced booking only. Please note we do not offer evening meals or bar service on Tuesday evenings.
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY non-refundable deposit of £30.00 per person is payable on booking to secure your room.

We are situated by Bassenthwaite Lake between Keswick and Cockermouth.Exit the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 Westbound towards Keswick. By-pass Keswick on the A66 following the signs for Cockermouth.

The road follows the western shore of Bassenthwaite Lake for about 5 miles. There is a short stretch of dual carriageway (this used to be the old road and has a number of bends).

Approximately 250 yards after the end of the dual carriageway take the first right turn onto a minor road, signposted Dubwath & Castle Inn.After just 50 yards, turn right again onto the B5291, signposted for Castle Inn.The Ouse Bridge House is a further 50 yards on the left, set back from the road.

Lovely friendly guest house, very comfortable and clean, some nice personal touches to bedroom and bathroom, excellent food, overall had a very pleasant stay.

Rooms were lovely however bathroom could do with a little bit of TLC. Great value and lovely breakfast. Brilliant location. Would happily return again.

very friendly welcome. rooms very clean very good breakfast. dining room was ok limited places to eat but the sun inn in bassenthwaite village had very good and reasonable food with a warm and friendly welcome. make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding.
