A small, cute venue with friendly and generally fairly efficient service. Great value for money too. I hope I'll get back here one day.

We've used this hotel twice when visiting an area that we make annual trips to. I won't wast time looking for alternatives in the future, just zero in on the Bell. It provides us with just what we want - a private motel type room that we can collapse into after a long car journey, with opportunity for a couple of pints of real ale in the bar. Really good value for money, with a good breakfast in the morning. Easy parking. Mattress a little firm for my wife but ok for me. Hospitable without being always around you. Room is fairly basic suitable for 'get up and go'. A lttle tricky to find off the A1, about quarter of an hour but great for an 'end of A1 North-South journey that leaves you within striking distance of London.
