We stayed with friends and asked for a tea in bar for 8 people. We were served one teapot for 7 people with no extra hot water, no biscuits and were charged £14, a very expensive teabag!! I think this was extortionate even if someone had to boil a kettle specially surely it doesn't cost that much! |

Stayed in December 2007 as my daughter was having her wedding reception here. Those guests booking the special wedding rate direct with the hotel paid about twice the price available through Late Rooms - which makes the wedding rate 'special' for all the wrong reasons!! |

The building and grounds were impressive but the hotel itself was very poor. I stayed in a single room which was so small that I had to move the chair each time I wanted to cross the room. The temperature control of the shower was on a knife edge and lurched between cold and scalding hot with no warning. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up, which being male is very important. |
