hotel was very nice but we weren't informed there was building works being carried out. Also various private functions were on and when we asked if we could dine in the restaurant we were told it was fully booked. We were a bit disappointed that we were not informed when we checked in about this and we had to find an alternative at short notice. All in all a good hotel with great decor but they must make more provisions for their guests |

The decor was fabulous, our bedroom had an amazing chandelier. Room was compact but had everything we needed apart from air conditioning (it was very warm even though we are in November!) Breakfast was excellent, even though we came down 15 minutes after they were due to stop serving due to a misunderstanding they could not have been more helpful. We were initially sceptical having had a few dodgy experiences in Best Western's in the past, but would definitely stay here again. |

Really quality hotel with some very interesting refurbishments - "Roman style" - quirky but fun. |

Arrived at hotel which is right opposite the station. Hotel car park was full but parked on the station car park for a cost of £4.50 for 24 hrs, as hotel charges £7 for their car park this was a bargin. Hotel very clean and very busy, but staff very attentive. We had a pre dinner drink in the bar and were offered free cocktails (yummy). Staff training in cocktail bar so quite a few guests enjoyed this perk. Room large, overlooking gardens, everything you needed for a short stay, would use it again. Breakfast plenty choice but felt staff could be a bit more helpful, pointing out that if you wanted toast you had to do it yourself. We also had to request more tea (staff should have asked). |
