I have nothing negative to say about the Balmer Lawn. The room was very clean and comfortable (we have a New Forest view room), the staff very attentive and polite, the leisure facilities were good - so nice to have an indoor and outdoor pool, the buffet breakfast was excellent, ample onsite parking. We had a lovely stay and would definately return. |

the Balmer Lawn was such a disappointment considering the price paid. The 'Forest View' room overlooked a cricket pitch and a main road and not the Forest. The room was small, the bathroom dirty and the food mediocre. |

This was a very nice hotel experience. The welcome was warm and profesional with a very kind and welcome room upgrade. the laterooms rate made the room excellent value for money. The restaurant was very nice but maybe a bit over the top for a business visit. A more simple choice of menu would have been appropriate on some nights. The setting of the hotel is delightful, with a cricket match taking place in front of the hotel on arrival, and new forest ponies, and foals, appearing on most mornings. The staff were most pleasant and attentive. The outdoor pool, when weather allowed, was a most welcome antidote to the pressures of my business visit. Highly recommended. |
