Rooms dated, no electricity or hot water. This was not communiated on entry to the hotel and resulted in us wasting time sorting out another hotel and incurring additional costs in taxis etc... Not very happy about the Hotel

Hotel is in a gorgeous location, felt like lady of the manor while driving up the drive towards the house! even though a large hotel the staff are all excellent and very acommodating. the rooms were to be remembered for the personal touches such as the molton brown toiletries, free water and fruit and even a small decanter of sherry! Views out over the country (the noise of sheep baa'ing at night could annoy someone more sensitive)
the breakfast was lovely with a wide choice and pleasant staff, fast service.
the only thing i can fault is the bar service in the evening as a function was going on and people seemed to have taken over the place... there are some lovely little country pubs just down the road though if this happens for others.
really nice overall, one of the best i've been to through late rooms and well worth the extra money for a weekend break you will remember. will come back again i'm sure.
