The Manor Hotel

We had been concerned about noise levels being so close to Heathrow and on a busy road junction but the room was very quiet and we were not disturbed at all by traffic in spite of being at the front of the hotel. Staff were helpful with luggage and getting a taxi to our next destination. Our only problem was with parking which the staff again assisted us with solving.

Awful service on arrival. Found the room in the attic and at 6'3", kept banging my head on all sorts of low beams. Would have changed room if it was any more than one night stay.
Then the restaurant closed at 10pm prompt; no negotiation.
Found an Italian restaurant nearby; nothing special and quite expensive.
Then back at the hotel, the bar was unattended and left uncleaned from earlier in the eveing, with crisp and nut packets all over the bar.
A warm welcome to Datchet.
Will not stay here again with present management/staff and will not recommend to friends/colleagues.
There is always somewhere else to choose, so the Manor Hotel best think harder about quality of customer service: I could have been a mystery shopper.

As this is classed as a boutique hotel I had high hopes. On arrival shown to my 1st room - switched on lights which fused straight away, room very small, could hardly move around the bed. Asked for another room, shown to 2nd room, a corner room, slightly bigger, had notices on windows saying not to open them, shower over bath was not of a boutique hotel standard, therefore asked to change rooms. 3rd room was only slightly bigger than the 1st and had a view on to the flat room air con outlet. Therefore asked for another room (and offered to pay more), was shown to the converted attic room, which was a vast improvement on the others and offered this for the same price. However, bedside lights came on intermittently, there was no fridge/bar facility in the room, the towels were of a poor/ well worn quality - wasn't quite sure where the "boutique" standard was. Ordered breakfast in bed for between 9-9.30 it arrived at 8.30 and was the wrong order. Staff were all friendly and polite, but lacked attention to detail and the kind of service and quality expected when booking a boutique hotel.

The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room was extremely basic with dirty mirrors and furniture with badly broken lamp shade. Tiling broken in bathroom and towels smelt fusty. Hotel became very noisy at 4.30am with what I assume were staff members running past my room.
Breakfast was a mixture of good and bad with cooked food being cold and over done but nice selection of fruit and helpful staff.
