The Springfield Hotel enjoys stunning views over the River Dee to the Wirral and Cumbrian Hills, with excellent road links to the beautiful old Roman city of Chester, North West England and North Wales. The coastal resorts of Prestatyn, Llandudno, and Rhyl and the Welsh towns of Wrexham and Mold are all within easy driving distance.
The Springfield has recently completed a thorough refurbishment, which included the opening of a new Restaurant and Bar, and achieved a 3 star rating from the Welsh Tourist Board. All our bedrooms are comfortably equipped with colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and ensuite shower and bath. The Hotel also has an indoor heated pool and sauna, use of which is included in your rate.
The new Restaurant and Bar offer fresh home cooked food from fillet steaks to a great, original vegetarian choice, children’s meals and hearty bar meals all with a Welsh twist using the best locally sourced produce. We are particularly proud of our food and have many regular local customers. The Bar offers happy hour prices every day from 4pm – 7.30pm with selected pints and glasses of wine available from just £1.50.
The Springfield Hotel was originally a Country Manor House built around 1800 A.D. It has been tastefully converted and modernised and is now one of the area's most renowned Hotels.
The Hotel boasts a fully heated indoor pool and Sauna and is delighted to offer residential swimming courses for those who have not learned to swim. Based on a 5 day programme over 6000 swimmers have learnt to swim at the Springfield - a 100% success rate! From time to time the swimming pool may be in use for private lessons.
In our Kendrick Suite, one of the largest Banqueting Rooms in the area. We can seat up to 400 people for Dinner Dances, Corporate Events, Weddings, Conferences, Trade Exhibitions, and holds regular Cabaret Nights featuring such Tribute Acts such as Abba, Robbie Williams, Queen, Take That, Kylie and many others.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and very friendly; nothing was too much trouble. There was a wedding party during our stay but we were pleasantly surprised how little noise there was. The only drawback is the situation of the hotel; too dangerous for an evening stroll.

Food was good both bar snacks and main resturant. Although there is a swimming pool the location of the hotel does'nt lend itself to much else. Mainly a contractors hotel during the week, no really familly friendly. would stay again if other accomdation wasn't available in the area.
