Approaching Bridgend from the M4:
Take junction 36 (westbound) off the M4, take first left at next roundabout and follow A4061.Go straight on at next two roundabouts. At the edge of town you will get to traffic lights, go straight on under the bridge and keep going onto this dual carriageway, (see Tesco on the opposite side of the road). At the Roundabout, take the third exit and then take first left heading towards Tesco, the pay display car park, Riverside Tavern, is found opposite the Tesco. Tariffs are £3 for 24hrs & £2 for overnight parking. This is our recommended car park.
Alternatively, Embassy Car Par which is located by the foot bridge closer to the lodge is also available ( can be seen from Riverside Tavern). Charge £0.80 p/h and its free from 5pm to 8am.
The Lodge is 2mins walk from the Embassy car park and about 4mins walk from the Riverside Tavern. Just follow the foot bridgend heading towards the town centre.
There is limited disabled access for parking hence they will only allow you to drive into town only to unload after 6pm and to load before 10am. Closest diabled parking is the Embassy Car Park. The hotel is not easy to get to if your on your own with a couple of bags - There's no parking and your sat nav will try to get you to turn down one way streets etc To top it off when i tried calling the hotel for advice NO ONE answred the phone. I later found out via bar staff that no one works between 7pm - 11pm??? |
