I was in St Andrews on a one night business trip and could only spend one night in the Albany unfortunately. They had no single rooms originally, so they offered me a double at an extra costof £10 which was more than reasonable. This room was unavailable on arrival so I was upgraded to a junior suite at no extra cost. The room was fantastic, and the receptionist superb, which made checking in hassle free. They found out available golf times at very short notice and the were extremley helpful and polite. I didn't have time to stay for breakfast so I can't review the food (urgent golf appointment!) and the only slight criticism was that I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to check me out (they were downstairs in the resteraunt). I am off to St Andrews again in June and I will be returning to the Albany.
