Our hotel which is situated on the edge of beautiful Charnwood Forest, has been built in local stone and in the style of the original farmhouse building which dates back to 1672. We are within easy reach of Leicester, just one mile from the M1 and offer the very best of food, wine, comfort and service.
Whether you are staying for business or pleasure, we will give you a really warm welcome and will do our very best to help you enjoy your stay. Warm and cosily furnished, our 28 bedrooms are all en-suite and non smoking, whilst our intimate restaurant is located in the orginal building, where the highest standards of modern comfort are provided. The bar offers fine bar food, set in authentic coaching inn surroundings.

Found easily, minutes from M1-j22 on A50. Arrived late, but no problem for friendly staff. Is more a country pub & restaurant with 28 rooms. Very good accomodation. Excellent breakfast- hot choice from kitchen-Full English, kippers, eggs benidict etc. Pleasant future lunch stop.

Would stay here again if needing accomodation in this area. I noticed a previous reviewer had trouble obtaining a remote control for the TV. We experienced the same, but they did manage to find us one. I have hearing problems and so needed the remote for the teletext subtitles.
Had an excellent meal in the bar in the evening.

This hotel is convenient for access to M1 J20. It is quiet in the rooms unlike some hotels located closer to main roads. The food and drink quality is good and staff are friendly.
