On aproach it was not too impressive but once inside I was greated by very helpful and friendly staff, given lots of information about the hotel facilities and directed to my room. I then visited the Fitness suite and had a very relaxing time in the steam room and sauna, followed by a swim in the pool and a relax in the spa. Back to my room to change then into the new Figs Bistro. I was away on business alone and had a fantastic meal with wine etc, lovely relaxed atmosphere and helpfull waiters etc. Then went to bed in one of their Suites which was very well equiped and spacious well worth the extra few quid to upgrade. Overall great place, I will stay again when next in area for sure. |

Very disapointed with substantial price paid for a 3 star hotel. We expected much netter for the price. We also attended at a nightime event at the hotel and would of thought a discount would of been granted for that reason alone. The very fact of no air conditioning reduced the star rating to 3 but also I thought the reception staff were not very helpful and infact nor knowledgeable about there own hotel. We asked about the internet but the staff (2) seemed confused as to whethwer we could sign back on and use part of the hours booked later. 1 staff memeber said no the other yes. So we did not bother as to pay for continuos use is very silly. Also the front of the hotel is not actually clear. It looks like a conservatory on the side of the hotel. |
