I was dubious about staying initially due to the note saying that some rooms may be next to a nightclub, I phoned the hotel and explained my concerned, I was assured the nightclub was no longer there only a bar that closed at 1am. I also asked about breakfast due to my early start getting to Silverstone. I was told breakfast would be available at 7am which I was happy with. On my arrival at the hotel I noticed a wedding party and there was a disco playing. On going to my room although I could hear the music it wasn't very loud so it was fine. I went out with my father for something to eat then retired to my room at 9.30pm. By this time the music had been turned up louder but bearable. Within 40 mins the music got louder and louder. By 10.45pm the mirrors and fittings were vibrating with the extremely loud music. I went down to reception and explained how bad it was. The receptionist was very helpful and moved me to the second floor. It was a lovely room but only had very old single windows so I could still hear the music but at least the walls weren't moving! I finally got to bed at 11.30pm only to find that the toilet flush was completely broken and unusable!. I gave up and finally got about 3 hours sleep before getting up. In the morning my father and I were only offered a bacon sandwiche to take on our way. However on waiting for our sandwiche all the cooked breakfast was brought out which we could have had! I have never been so disappointed in staying in a hotel before. I can't fault the receptionist she was very helpful but perhaps give consideration to all guests regardless of functions going on! The hotel needs alot of work doing to it, very difficult windows to open and close and not even checking that a toilet is functionable is not very good at all! I would not recommend any one staying here during the summer months and especially if there are any wedding events on. The DJ needs to turn the volume down alot!
