Villa Alessandra

When you get a grand lit with two separate mattresses don't even try to ask for a change: even if you stay 2 more nights and they promise to transfer your re-packed luggages in an approprIate room, when you come back you'll find everything unchanged, even if the hotel has at least 4 rooms empty. They just don't care... And if they print your bill/facture with the wrong address, don't dare to ask for a reprint for your company: the system does not allow it! So: be sure to find an almost gentle but confused management by day, by far balanced by a wonderful gentleman at the check-in and night service by night: this is the staff situation at the cute Villa Alessandra, quiet provencal-style hotel that looks like a high standard Novotel with a tasty colourful 4 star hotel camouflage... The fact is that we got an attractive €129 double bed all inclusive (excl. breakfast) rate, so we can not be disappointed... Wifi and free PC at the entrance. Room 304 nice square viewing but soooo small, room 408 back view but larger. (PS No coat hangers in the room, and only a veru very small cabinet... TV set with 4/5 french channels, eurosport, and that's all, frustrating and really below any standard...). Nearby open market and restaurants are ok, and close to Port Maillot bus station, not bad if you get to Paris by Ryanair.

the location of the hotel to the arc de triumph was good only a ten minute walk. The hotel was adequate however room 201 was exceptionally small, it had a four poster bed which took up all the space, so much so that it was difficult to walk around and restricted the opening of the windows. The breakfast was of an excellent standard with good choices.
The only downside was that the hotel was next to a local market which smelt of fish and fish parts were left in the gutters.

The hotel is situated conveniently for the Arc D'Triomphe and many local restaurants but is quietly tucked away from busy roads and traffic. My only criticism is that there was no air conditioning available in the rooms despite being extremely warm.

Hotel staff generally helpful but did give me a morning wake up call an hour earlier than requested. Good location in fairly quiet small square (not quiet all the time but hotel has a/c so can close the windows). Nice location near transport, colourfull small street market and not that fat from tourist sites.
