Consistency in name so that locals understand where I wanted to go was the initial problem. The check-in/reception area was not well signposted when arriving by bus. Also distance from town caused problems. Unfortunately the city of Edinburgh doesn't provide sufficient public transport (or taxis) after attending the E/Tattoo and festivals which were were being held. Considering the number of guests which can be accommodated, provision of a mini shuttle bus would be a useful resource which could influence me to stay there again. |

It's best to take a taxi from the Waverley station for around 6 pounds if one has heavy luggage. Also, the hostels don't have lifts and one should be aware of this. The place is great for those who travel light. |
