I requested a room with a double bed, but got a tiny single instead. Although a charming room in the very old building with the evidence of its age, the room was tiny & up stairs which was difficult for lugging luggage up & down. The grounds were lovely. You had to have a car here as there was no public transport. The hotel is lovely throughout and well staffed. I thought the cost of the internet access was steep. When it says WiFi available it does not say how much it costs for how long. Some places are free, but this one was expensive. |

This is a lovely hotel and a great venue for weddings, anniversaries etc. Loved the exposed beams and huge fire places of the old part of the hotel. Old and new were cleverly combined. Breakfast room needs a renovation though, it's pure 80's with its floral curtains and naff peach colored table cloths! Unfortunately the pool and jacuzzi were broken when I visited so I couldn't have my lazy day as planned. If weather permits, there is a possibilty to walk along the footpath by the river Thames. There is no public transport to the hotel so you will need to use taxis (about 10pounds from Oxford coach station). There is a nice traditional English pub just 500metres away where you can enjoy your Sunday roast or a pint. |

Lovely rooms, very quiet in spite of the Friday night Abba disco. The breakfast was a buffet. The food was fresh and hot and the restaurant staff very attentive. The only disappointment was the fact that the swimming pool was shut. |

Reception staff not exactly charming upon arrival and the hotel had weddings on both nights - fortunately was very tired so slept through the disco. |
