I liked the hotel very much, but the bedroom was freezing cold and I could not adjust the heating which did appear to be turned on. |

This was a particularly nice hotel. A bit old fashioned in furnishings, but with really good, personable staff who looked after myself, and it seemed the same for all their clients, with a real sense of purpose to help us feel welcome. The receptionist, the porter who sorted out a problem with the lights, the staff in the bar area where I ate - all of them seemed to enjoy their work and put their customers first. There were a lot of smiles and that's a big difference compared to other colder hotel environments where sometimes one could be treated more like a robot. |

The noise from the disco, which was in the building next to our room was pretty loud but we did stay on a Saturday night. Probably does not happen every night.not |
