OLDFIELDS

102 Wells Road, BATH

AA Four Star highly commended. Oldfields is an elegant and traditional Bed and Breakfast , superbly located just 8 minutes walk from Bath City centre with magnificent panoramic views over Bath and private parking. Built in Victorian times of honey coloured bath stone, the interior of the house still boasts a wealth of original features. Beautiful decor and sumptuous furnishings compliment the ornate cornices and victorian fireplaces. Superior en suite rooms are all individually designed and offer every comfort for your stay. The Luxury Four Poster Jacobbean and Queen Anne rooms with Jacuzzi Bath are truly romantic, an ideal choice for that special occasion. There are splended panoramic views of the City from both the Drawing Room and Dining Room, where a delicious full English Breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetarian options is served. Oldfields is a privately owned hotel where a warm welcome awaits and the highest standard of personal service is offered. The hotel is non-smoking and welcomes children. We do require a two night stay over the weekend if your stay includes a Saturday night. Please note we are a non-smoking establishment.

What can i say? The room was fantastic, a six foot bed very very hard to get out of for the beautiful breakfast that we received, customer service was excellent, in a great location just ten minutes walk into town centre, i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Small car park so get there early if you need a space. Fantastic views, lovely breakfast. We were on top floor in the eaves and the bed was very very soft (I prefer a firmer mattress), the bed felt as though it was sloping downwards towards the headboard, which made me feel queasy (as it's 2 old houses made into 1 building maybe the floor was uneven). Staff friendly and helpful. Air-con helped to control the temperature as it was stuffy in the room. Fantastic city!

Excellent family run hotel, very accommodating (tea served in lounge on arrival). TV with DVD player in room, four poster bed. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast excellent, even champagne if you wanted it. Close to the centre of Bath easy walk about 10 minutes. Not a great deal of parking space onsite, but could park easily nearby if required. Would definately go back and recommend to friends.

My only reservation was the not very safe-feeling walk back up from town, thru the dark underpass, in the dark as a lone female. However, got taxis- well worth the £4 fare.
Fantastic hotel/food/decor/quality- didn't want to come home- who would? Will definitely stay there again.
