I travelled with my wife (who was on business in the area) and daughter. We found the hotel to be excellent in every way. The service was of highest standard; the rooms were beyond our expectation. They were spacious, warm (we stayed in November) and extremely comfortable with wonderful unimpeded views. We have never experienced a TV in the bathroom & a fridge for milk and water before. The facilities in the other areas of the hotel were marvellous. The lounge areas were delightful to sit and read newspapers with views across rolling countryside. The Spa and bistro were an added bonus since we were able to make use of these superb facilities. The food was excellent and that in the bistro of extremely good value. Whilst th cleanliness of the hotel was extremely good, the only possible small comment was that the staircases could have done with a more regular Hoover! We were fortunate (quite by chance) to be able to take advantage of a bargain break and so enjoyed the luxury of a hotel we might not normally be able to afford. We would recommend other travellers to keep an eye out for such opportunities, they will not be disappointed. The stay was equally enjoyed by our daughter in her 20s as it was for us. We felt we had had a mini holiday. Congratulations to the staff and management. |

I had expected so much from what I have heard of the food I was a bit disappointed. Good, but not great. As the food was not via Late Rooms it was full price so not sure this was value for money. |
