A beautiful Victorian Gothic hotel, very well appointed and in the heart of the New Forest. It provides everything for a restful break. |

Cream tea was excellent. The fixed price of £45.00 for a 3 course dinner was over-priced, and the choice was not very good. The snack in the lounge bar was nicely served on a linen table cloth, but menu choice was limited and the salmon was dry as if it had been kept waiting in the kitchen. There was a slight musty smell in the lounge area which was close to the lake outside. Breakfast was good but too slow. |

A lovely, lovely hotel. Very gothic and grand, with superb grounds and a surprisingly chilled vibe. Perfect for a romantic get-away. |

Very grand, impressive building and beautiful surroundings. The food was good, but very pricey and limited during the off season when the Brasserie is closed and you can only choose from a three course meal at £45 per head plus drinks or a very basic bar menu (sandwiches are £10+). Not a great selection for vegetarians. The food itself was good quality and tasty. Breakfast was lovely, with a good selection and served in an amazing dining hall with a gorgeous Alhambra dome room annex. |
