Set in the heart of the beautiful New Forest, this grand country house offers more than a little luxury. Rhinefield House was largely built in 1887 and is today refurbished to the highest standards with luxurous and comfortable furnishings and all the modern conveniences and technology. Perfectly located amongst tall conifers and scented pines, yet within easy reach of Southampton, Bournemouth, Winchester and Salisbury. There are numerous attractions just minutes away such as sailing on the Solent, Lepe Country Park, Beaullieu Palace, Pony Trekking and Paultons Theme Park, or simply relax and unwind in the hotel grounds with a picnic, a stroll in the forest, or dip in the pool. - Please beaware that the Health Club and Swimming Pool will be clsoed for Maintenance from the 11th January until the 20th January.
The award winning Armarda Restaurant offers specially selected menus made from fresh regional ingredients and seasonal flavours in eleborate surroundings, there can be few more dramatic backdrops for a candle-lit meal. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, we recommend you book in advance.
Bedrooms are all refurbished and blend classic comforts with modern touches, all come with large flat screen TVs with DVD and CD players, free high speed Internet access. All are ensuite with complimentary unique toiletries.

Cream tea was excellent. The fixed price of £45.00 for a 3 course dinner was over-priced, and the choice was not very good. The snack in the lounge bar was nicely served on a linen table cloth, but menu choice was limited and the salmon was dry as if it had been kept waiting in the kitchen. There was a slight musty smell in the lounge area which was close to the lake outside. Breakfast was good but too slow.

A lovely, lovely hotel. Very gothic and grand, with superb grounds and a surprisingly chilled vibe. Perfect for a romantic get-away. When we arrived we discovered that our room 'boasted' a connecting door -- we could hear every word of the next-door couple's conversation. However, a quick query at Reception and we were offered a choice of alternatives. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Very grand, impressive building and beautiful surroundings. The food was good, but very pricey and limited during the off season when the Brasserie is closed and you can only choose from a three course meal at £45 per head plus drinks or a very basic bar menu (sandwiches are £10+). Not a great selection for vegetarians. The food itself was good quality and tasty. Breakfast was lovely, with a good selection and served in an amazing dining hall with a gorgeous Alhambra dome room annex. The room was large, modern, clean with a HUGE tv. Very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it is such a bonus to be in the heart of the New Forest with rabbits and ponies wandering freely among the giant trees. We'll definitely be returning at some point.
